Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in providing critical care and patient care services in an acute care setting
• Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Provide excellent patient service by answering inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring medication safety
• Utilize aseptic technique to prepare sterile products, including IV infusions
• Maintain accurate medication records and inventory control
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to pharmacy practice
• Stay updated on medical terminology, drug information, and pharmacy trends

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT) preferred
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is a plus
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy operations
• Familiarity with inhalation medications and IV infusion procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
